ACT produced for this project Europe's largest railway station LED display panel for passenger information.
ACT realized this LED together with a project partner!

Digital scoreboard in modern LED technology with the highest resolution.

8.1 million LED chips bring the contents of this unique LED Video Wall for light.

OeBB is a pioneer, display board for train departure times in LED

In most European train stations, passengers are informed not by large LCD display panels or folder displays on train arrivals and departures. The Austrian Federal Railways are a pioneer for the new Vienna Central Station was invested in modern LED technology for this purpose. For the large main display panel ACT produced as a leading manufacturer in this Breich a LED screen in the highest resolution, which is centrally located in the passenger hall inform the passengers.

An apartment full of passenger information

The train Assumption display panel in the modern styled passenger hall is 21 meters long and just 2.1 m high. These 44 square meters, it is the size of a small apartment. On this scoreboard the main train information is clearly displayed, so train travel is even easier. As a central element it is obvious positioned in the main hall.

The large LED display panel exceeds in the width even a 4K resolution!

With 5,248 physical pixels this Led Video Wall surpasses quite loosely designated as 4K resolution width of 4096 pixels. On the scoreboard bring 8060928 LED chips the content to life! Here the latest LED technology is used. The physical pixel pitch is just four millimeters. So that passengers can no longer perceive individual pixels on the display panel, the video wall reaches an incredibly high image quality. For the high contrast make black-faced SMD LEDs. A particular challenge was the construction of the video wall, as this display panel is bent from the front only maintainable and unevenly by up to 5 degrees. For smaller LED displays, there are ACT already proven solutions. For such a large LED wall simultaneously with extremely tight pixel pitch but had to be created a totally new housing design.

Several high-end controller for this large passenger Scoreboard

Several machines provide the passenger information, which come in the server room to the controllers supplied by ACT and are sent from there via optical fiber video wall.

Scoreboard timely mounted and put into operation

The scoreboard was the end of September precisely mounted in the schedule. All internal test operations were successfully completed. The connection to the computer ÖBB took place immediately as planned, everyone loved it.
